You will support the operations and testing of our pilot-scale water treatment and lithium production plants. This role is ideally suited for recently graduated Engineers who seek to build a career in advanced clean technology.
Your career will start with valuable experience operating, tuning, and troubleshooting innovative pilot plants that desalinate industrial waters and/or refine lithium into electric vehicle battery grade inputs. You will develop valuable hands-on, process-control, project management, and quality assurance skills while being mentored by senior engineers and chemists. Once you become proficient in the above (roughly 6-8 months), there will be opportunities to advance within Saltworks. This may include options such as:

Your main tasks will include:
Learning about Saltworks products, treatment processes, and pilot plant infrastructure.
Delivering clean technology solutions within a collaborative and innovative work culture.
Operating pilot scale industrial water treatment and lithium refining plants (training provided).
Data collection, wet lab analysis, data interpretation, and data management (training provided).
Learning about inorganic water chemistry, water treatment, lithium refining (through our expert staff), and building your skills to interpret data and make recommendations.
Contributing design feedback and ideas for improvement.
Writing completion reports as required.
Developing or utilizing hands-on skills to complete basic pilot plant maintenance work, while being supported by skilled tradespeople for advanced work.
Developing or utilizing your technical analysis and communication skills, especially as they relate to engineering drawings, documentation, mass balances, results interpretation, problem solving, and innovation.
You will be a great fit if you have:
A degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.

Mechanical aptitude and a strong ability to troubleshoot problems.
A strong safety ethic with the courage to stop work and improve safety when needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Profound attention to detail and organization.
Ability to diligently collect data and prepare reports.
Organizational skills to meet project objectives and keep a clean and tidy work environment.
Solid computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to maintain a high quality of work and quickly learn new skills.
Ability to balance many tasks, manage priorities, and work well under pressure.
A team first attitude and are ready to roll up your sleeves and pitch in as required.
