We are currently seeking a

Pickup

Driver

to join the team in

Dunrobin, ON

. The Pickup Driver will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of various orders assisting our rebar installation teams in the area. You'll be driving between suppliers and job sites delivering rebar accessories and assisting with job site cleanup while reporting to your Field Supervisor. The Pickup Driver is responsible for safely operating and driving a half tonner truck while running errands, as well as contributing to the overall success of the Mansteel Rebar team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Pick up small orders of steel, chairs or other misc. items from point A and run them to point B throughout the day Manage inventory of equipment that need to be transported from job to job Field calls from Site Foreman and run material to them as needed Go to suppliers and make purchases as needed of smaller items Help furnish and setup materials for new projects and help gather and clean up these supplies from jobs at the end Minor truck maintenance (Ex: adding oiling, fueling) Responsible for completing a pre and post inspection of the vehicle each day before operating. Sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and working in a variety of environments, both internal and external in all types of weather conditions. Follow all plant and company safety guidelines in the performance of all job duties and responsibilities.

Requirements:

Valid G-Class License Able to read a map and accurately plan a route Professional demeanor Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills Construction experience would be an asset Sound knowledge of safe driving practices
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
