We are looking for a Pharma Transportation Operations Specialist for our Contract Logistics division/office based in Mississauga.
Your Role
You will perform transportation operations activities focused on delivering an excellent customer service experience. This Transportation Operations Specialist maintains excellent service levels for our internal and external customers through timely responses of carrier updates, delay notifications, shipment status updates and investigations and to perform transportation operations activities focused on delivering an excellent customer service experience with emphasis on continuous improvement and the prompt resolution of issues.
Your Responsibilities
Provide high quality customer service for managing Pharma Healthcare transportation solutions.
Review and plan incoming orders every 15 minutes and release as required.
Review order details with the Transportation Management System and set priority for urgent orders and customer requests.
POD Management, including shipment level OS+D.
Handle customer requests and follow up with customers via email and action items related to order flow.
Investigate orders that do not flow as designed by the system and help resolve.
Ensure data integrity & data quality into the Transportation Management System.
Shipment confirmations to ensure all deliveries take place within the transit requirements.
Generate status report for operational team to ensure targets are met.
Carrier cut off adherence -work with DC Ops and ensure pick up of from DC.
Equipment demand plan -work with DC Ops.
FTL delivery appointment management.
Off Schedule carrier selection and assignment.
Integrate both qualitative and quantitative data into business analysis.
Data entry and reporting in excel.
On site dock support.
Availability to work periodic overtime and a variety of shifts to meet the requirements of the operation and support flexible work coverage.
Other tasks assigned within the department from time to time.
Pursue continuous improvement projects to guide increased productivity and service levels.

Your Skills and Experiences
Post Secondary education in logistics or supply chain
Experience with Transportation Management Systems
Proficiency in the Microsoft Product Offering (Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and Access)
2+ years experience in transport operations.
