Periodontal Treatment Coordinator-Level II Dental Assistant :

is looking for a full-time Treatment Coordinator to support our amazing doctor!
This is an exciting opportunity to positively impact patients with your excellent customer service skills while supporting our clinical team in offering the highest level of clinical care.

Responsibilities:
Audit the daily schedule for accuracy and opportunities
Optimize the schedule through treatment plan monitoring, patient information flow, and continuous patient contact
Establish and facilitate patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
Provide the clinic with administrative and practical support when requested
Gather and accurately record patients' medical, personal, and insurance information; ensure this information remains current for existing patients
Track and process surgical pre-determinations
Continuously follow up on unscheduled surgery
Coordinate surgery with other specialists
Compose medical letters including referral and update letters
When the Periodontist leaves the Consult the Treatment Coordinator fully explains all procedures to patients and answers all questions
Stay in contact with doctor regarding keeping all referring dentists updated with letters and ongoing treatment
Skills and Qualifications:
Integrity - Intelligence & energy
A minimum of two years previous dental administration experience is required
Outstanding attention to detail
Calm under pressure
Good Teaching Skills to educate patients and build value for the treatment
Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills
Ability to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other team members, a team player
Customer service or patient relations experience; conflict resolution experience
Ability to multitask while seeing and understanding the big picture when making decisions
Constantly striving for improved customer care and service
Knowledge of MacPractice software is ideal but not imperative as it is a very easy program to master

Certified registered dental assistant with a valid licence to practice in Manitoba. CPR Level C certification.
