The OpportunityWe are currently looking for an HR Coordinator to work hand in hand with our HR Manager with providing best in class service to our valued colleagues. The HR Coordinator will assist with all elements of HR including; Labor Relations, Policies & Procedures, Recruitment & Training, Compensation & Benefits, Health & Safety, Performance Management, Diversity & Inclusion and Health & Wellness.   • Actively participate in the talent acquisition process.
  • Posting and screening of applications, leveraging market trends to maximize talent pools and attract relevant skill-set
  • Coordinate and conduct preliminary interviews for a variety of positions
  • Collate interview notes and prepare detailed summary for client
  • Conduct passive searches, utilizing various platforms to identify top talent
  • Draft and refine job descriptions to attract a qualified talent pipeline
  • Assist with preparation of recruitment reports and analysis
  • Provide timely and proactive responses to candidates with updates and feedback
  • Conduct reference and background screening, ensuring legitimacy
  • Oversee on-boarding process ensuring compliance and completion of on-boarding paperwork
  • Responsible for maintenance and regular updates of employee files
  • Conduct post-hire check-ins and departure interviews to ensure continuous refinement of process
  • Assist with managing the talent review process.
  • Assist with implementing actions to create a highly engaged, high performing, and inclusive work environment for the Langley site.
  • Demonstrates the use of 80/20, continuous improvement to deliver results aligned with the functions' strategies, including KPIs, with a sense of urgency.
  • Assist with employee relations issues and resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes.
  • With the assistance of the HR Manager, works with Union representatives and Business Agent to resolve employee concerns.
  • Provide counsel to leadership and team members on ESA and labour laws in absence of HR Manager.
  • Assist with the Social Club initiative
  • Support with other ad-hoc human resources, recruitment and administrative tasks as needed

  • Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness or related field.
  • 3+ years HR experience; preferably within a union manufacturing environment.
  • Generalist mindset with desire of expanding knowledge of recruitment, benefit and compensation, employee relations, legal compliance, safety, and training and development.
  • Demonstrated track record of partnering with leaders produce measurable outcomes and to drive business results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to establish trust, credibility and rapport at all levels of the organization; seen as humble, direct, and authentic, while possessing leadership presence.
  • Proven ability to be hands on, demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative, results-orientation. Has a mindset of continuous improvement and can embrace Regal's 80/20 principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, ADP and HRIS systems.
  • CPHR certification a plus.
