We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll functions, ensuring accuracy in data entry, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role requires proficiency in various payroll and accounting software, as well as strong analytical skills to support our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Process payroll for 300+ employees on a weekly basis
Maintain and update employee records including hours worked, deductions, and benefits
Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll regulations
Utilize
WinTeams, QuickBooks desktop
, and
ExpressTime
to manage payroll functions
Prepare and distribute ROEs and other payroll-related documents
Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries
Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure data accuracy
Assist with audits and year-end calculations for T4s
Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information
Requirements
Minimum
5 years experience
of managing payroll for 300+ employees
Proficiency in
WinTeams, QuickBooks desktop
and ExpressTime
Strong understanding of payroll legislation in
Alberta
,
Manitoba
and
Ontario
and best practices
PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) or higher designation
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Open to

Driver's License and a car
