Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Administrator - Canada. As a Payroll & Benefits Administrator, you will support the Human Resources Department in the administration of payroll, benefits, file management, and department reports.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for accurately maintaining Payroll files and records in a timely manner.
Administer the corporate benefits plan, including MSP Health Insurance of British Columbia.
Administer the Company's pension plan.
Process monthly billing and reconciliations for the group insurance benefit plan, including MSP Health Insurance of British Columbia.
Process quarterly and annual WCB reporting of payroll and remittances
Responsible for routine payroll functions and maintaining accurate payroll files and records.
Responsible for maintaining/updating payroll records and acts as a liaison between Profit Centres, Field and Corporate staff
Ensure all employee information is accurately keyed, tracked, managed and stored in compliance with legislation and company operating policies and procedures
Has a working knowledge of Ceridian software
Has working knowledge of all payroll deductions and contributions in Canada.
Process new hires, leaves, terminations and wire transfers
Performs any other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
Being accountable and responsible for all aspects of quality service for internal employees.
Research and resolve employee questions / concerns
Process manual cheque for employee payments if required
Creating and maintaining manual tracking of employee data
Maintain all employee's files and records.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-secondary education in Business, Administration or related discipline
3-5 years of progressive administrative experience handling confidential documents
1-2 years payroll processing including year-end reporting and journal entries
Experience in administering a group benefits plan
Strong attention to detail
Take responsibility and ownership of all assigned tasks, ensuring regular updates and completion timelines are effectively communicated to senior management.
Proactive, adaptable, team player who thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task and be highly organized while meeting multiple demands
Problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Expert Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Prior Payroll and Customer Service experience
Ceridian experience, timecards and PowerPay
Working towards HR or Payroll certification
Experience with Workday is an asset
Strong desire for learning
