Maintain payroll system data and verify payroll records to ensure compliance with federal and provincial legislation.
Provide technical support with users for the payroll system.
Provide support for the automated timesheet system.
Work collaboratively with the IT team and various business stakeholders on processes and possible system improvements.
Work closely with the HR and finance team.
Keep abreast of any changes in legislation or provisions with respect to labour laws and internal payroll policies.
Requirements:
DEC in administrative techniques or accounting;
3 years of experience in payroll processing and accounting;
Be meticulous while having a good speed of execution;
Demonstrate excellent customer service orientation;
Ability to meet tight deadlines;
Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality in the handling of files;
Be fluent in English;
Proficient in computerized payroll management systems and MS Office computer tools (Word, advanced Excel functions).
Canadian Payroll Association Certification (asset).
