Job Description


Our client located in the Vaudreuil-Dorion region is looking for a technician with excellent payroll skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile payroll records and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the Finance Department.
  • Assist in the preparation of government reports, such as remittances (GST/QST, ASD).
  • Produce and validate various payroll reports according to deadlines, prepare the required salary analyses and complete requests for statistics.
  • Participate in the year-end process (adjustments, T4 slips and various reports) and participate in the preparation of auditors\' files.
  • Provide support during internal audits of registers, tax returns and other relevant documents.
  • Produce monthly reports (payroll entry, dispatch report, vacancy report, headcount attrition, etc.).
  • Provide support for payroll transmission.
  • Maintain payroll system data and verify payroll records to ensure compliance with federal and provincial legislation.
  • Provide technical support with users for the payroll system.
  • Provide support for the automated timesheet system.
  • Work collaboratively with the IT team and various business stakeholders on processes and possible system improvements.
  • Work closely with the HR and finance team.
  • Keep abreast of any changes in legislation or provisions with respect to labour laws and internal payroll policies.
Requirements:
  • DEC in administrative techniques or accounting;
  • 3 years of experience in payroll processing and accounting;
  • Be meticulous while having a good speed of execution;
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service orientation;
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality in the handling of files;
  • Be fluent in English;
  • Proficient in computerized payroll management systems and MS Office computer tools (Word, advanced Excel functions).
  • Canadian Payroll Association Certification (asset).
