We are in the business of making a difference in people's lives.The Opportunity: As a Mortgage Administrator, you will provide direct support to the Mortgage Agent and clients by supporting their mortgage application, and providing communication between clients, lenders and agents to ensure a high-quality client experience. We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills who can maintain broker and client relationships, while also problem-solving complex loans to ensure they are within regulatory compliance.As a member of the Support Team, you will be responsible for reviewing and analysing incoming documents to ensure they are complete and compliant to the lender's requirements.WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Work in collaboration with the Mortgage Agent to closely manage pipelines, collect outstanding documentation needed to satisfy the requirements as stipulated in the commitment and close deals on a timely basis. Issue mortgage commitments with appropriate conditions and follow up with mortgage brokers for sign-back.
  • Input mortgage applications while ensuring adherence to industry-specific policies and guidelines
  • Ensures due diligence has been completed prior to submitting any mortgage conditions or documents, where applicable
  • Take the initiative to find solutions to client's challenges, meeting their individual needs
  • Remain mobile to be accessible and accommodate clients' preferences
  • Maintains positive relationships with external partners such as mortgage insurers, appraisers, title insurance companies, solicitors, real estate agents and all partners we work with
  • Priorities applications and workflow to ensure consistent and sound risk assessments are maintained while managing high volumes and a continued focus on service excellence
  • Such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Company from time to time, without advance notice or other obligation.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Completed post-secondary education or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the mortgage or financial services industry.
  • Ability to manage pressure in an environment of high-volume processing with tight turnaround times and deadlines.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, continuously evolving workplace.
  • Ability to manage workflow to meet deadlines while providing optimal customer service, and completing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
