IBI Group's Vancouver office is searching for a Contract Administrator. You will be a vital part of our team in, completing working drawings and managing and performing site reviews for projects through the construction phase. Working with senior staff, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing consultants, contractor’s requests, quality and design site reviews, shop drawing reviews and processing change requests. Your ability to make educated design decisions on site and liaise with the office project architect will be crucial. Most of the things you’ll work on:

  • Review and comment of Contract Documents
  • Review and comment of Specifications
  • Review and comment of shop drawing submittals together with technical data sheet
  • Site Review and Meeting coordination
  • Reporting, Supplemental Instruction Contemplated Change Notice, Change Orders, review and issuance of Certificate for Payment
  • Consultant coordination and liaison
  • Office documentation


Qualifications
You'll need to have:
  • Architect or Intern Architect, Graduate of a recognized university program or Graduate of a recognized technical college.
  • Must be registered with the AIBC or eligible to register with the AIBC
  • 8 to10 years experience with commercial, mix-use high-rise residential, senior living or healthcare projects
  • Experience in wood, steel and construction detailing
  • Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
  • Building envelope knowledge or accreditation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Extremely well organized with good interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autocad
  • Ability to coordinate consultants and office staff
