Your Opportunity:Reporting to the Executive Director, Critical Care and Respiratory Therapy, the Patient Care Manager will demonstrate dynamic, innovative leadership and proven management skills. A results-oriented, consultative management style along with strong clinical skills will facilitate the overall effective operation of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Pediatric Transport Team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, as well as flexibility and the ability to manage change effectively. A key role will be the liaison between services and staff with the goal of promoting excellence in patient care. This position will provide administrative and clinical leadership advancing the effectiveness of all team members. As the manager the role will include but not be limited to the active participation in regional programs such as abilities management, occupational health, safety and wellness. Required Qualifications:Bachelor\'s degree is required. Master\'s degree in a health related discipline an asset. An equivalent combination of education/experience will be considered. Active Professional Registration (CRNA or other) is required. Extensive health care experience required including 3 to 5 years management experience in a complex tertiary healthcare organization with demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills. Key competencies include the ability to lead, manage, delegate and prioritize work effectively. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and promote collaboration, commitment to identifying and implementing necessary changes and demonstrated creativity and innovation. Knowledge of financial management is required. Must demonstrate understanding and experience with the delivery of family centered care.
