The Ross family takes pride in providing compassionate, quality patient care.Position SummaryThe Admitting Department is currently seeking a Permanent Part Time Patient Access Clerk I to join their team.Required date: October 21, 2024Essential Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Previous clerical/administrative experience within the last year is essential
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology - testing required
• Keyboarding skills and minimum speed of 35 w.p.m. with high degree of accuracy - testing required
• Demonstrated excellence customer service skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, a data base program and demonstrated experience in computer applications
• Ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, patients, physicians and the public
• Demonstrated high level of communication, organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated professional manner
• Ability to work in a stressful environment
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job as per the current Physical Demands Analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hospital or medical office setting
• Trained in EPIC Cadence and Prelude preferred - training can be provided, but must pass required testing
• Working knowledge of current Hospital Patient Information System
• Previous registration or booking experience

Hours of WorkMust be available to work a variety of shifts (days, evenings, nights), including weekends and stats scheduled within the parameters of the CUPE Collective Agreement.
