Patent Solicitor responsibilities include:
- Researching existing patents and patent applications
- Drafting patent applications
- Filing patent applications with the USPTO
- Responding to office actions from the USPTO
- Patent litigation support
- Conducting research on the viability of patents
- Assessing patentability of inventions
- Drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications
- Advising clients on infringement, licensing and other legal issues related to patents

- A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

- Excellent research, writing and communication skills
- Familiarity with patent prosecution procedures
- The ability to work independently and be detail-oriented
