Duties



Prepare and assemble meals with precision, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes that meet dietary requirements and customer preferences. Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination. Cook a variety of dishes using proper techniques, including knife skills, grilling, sauteing, baking, and plating. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality and consistency. Serve meals efficiently to guests or customers while providing excellent customer service with a friendly attitude. Manage food inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal preparation during busy periods and special events. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by cleaning utensils, equipment, workstations, and storage areas regularly. Follow all food handling regulations and safety standards diligently to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.

Experience


Candidates should have previous experience in the food industry, ideally within dietary departments or healthcare settings where specialized meal preparation is required. Experience in dietary aide roles or working in restaurant kitchens will be highly valued. A background in fine dining or catering environments demonstrates the ability to handle diverse culinary demands. Strong culinary skills--including knife proficiency--and familiarity with food safety practices are essential. Prior experience with menu planning, food presentation, cooking techniques, and serving in fast-paced restaurant or catering settings will set you apart. Knowledge of food handling regulations and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are crucial for success in this role. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
