Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

Duties

Prepare and maintain financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Manage full cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded. Perform journal entries and account reconciliations on a regular basis. Assist in the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns Generate financial reports for management review, highlighting key insights and trends. Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or other financial software for efficient bookkeeping. Other duties as required

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles and practices. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred. Proven experience in corporate accounting, or public accounting is highly desirable. Familiarity with governmental accounting standards is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft office Experience with bank reconciliation processes and budgeting techniques. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial reporting tasks.
