Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching: SLWK 5160 Sec 50, \xe2\x80\x9cAboriginal Perspectives on Service Delivery and Practice\xe2\x80\x9d. The course is part of the MSW program and will be offered in the Summer Term, from May-June 2024. Note: this is an online course.

The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including preparing and delivering lectures and preparation and grading of assignments. Distance courses are taught using an online learning management system (LMS) known as Brightspace. Distance courses require on-line availability for consultation with students. In addition, the part-time academic should expect to be engaged in course preparations for one-two months preceding course delivery.

Qualifications/Requirements of Position

Knowledge of the historical, social, and political realities and perspectives of Aboriginal populations in Canada, including Aboriginal perspectives on Indigenous social work practice and service delivery. A Master of Social Work degree, or higher, and previous teaching experience, preferably with online teaching.
Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement
