Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

A part-time academic is required to teach two sections of

Italian

1000.03: Italian for Beginners, Part 1 -

Fall Term 2025

(September 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025)
Currently Scheduled: Section (02) T/R 11:35 - 12:55 and section (01) M/W 13:05 - 14:25



The Part-Time Academic is responsible for planning and leading individual classes, administering tests, grading assignments, keeping records and the calculation of final grades. The Part-Time Academic is required to be available to students outside of class time.

Qualifications/Requirements of Position

Applicants should have native or near-native fluency in English and Italian and possess a graduate degree in a relevant area. Good teaching skills, including grammar training, commitment to student learning, and strong sense of personal responsibility.

Salary Range/Pay Rate

Per CUPE Collective Agreement

All offers of employment as a Part-Time Academic are conditional upon sufficient student enrolment in the course and approval by the University.
