Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
This Part-Time Academic will be fully responsible for the teaching and grading one section of MUSC 2020.03 The History of Jazz. This class is taught in person, every morning Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu from 9:05 -11:55 AM (Studley Campus - Rowe Management Bldg RM#1020), from May 5 - 27, 2025.
The instructor is required to provide a Method of Assessment. This position reports to the Director of the Fountain School of Performing Arts.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
Post-graduate education in music, either complete or in progress, and a demonstrated interest in Jazz studies; evidence of successful teaching at the university level, preferably in the area of Jazz studies; ability and willingness to incorporate or perform live musical demonstrations relative to the course subject matter; computer literacy.
Salary Range/Pay Rate
Per CUPE Collective Agreement
