Job Summary & Key ResponsibilitiesThis course explores the philosophy underlying the ontological, epistemological, and ethical approaches to nursing and its practices. Both learner and educator will critically analyze, reflect, and dialogue in a relational, scholarly, and intersubjective learning space. An in-depth understanding of the diverse research traditions that exist within the discipline of nursing and the unique body of knowledge that evolves within each tradition will be illuminated.
FORMAT: SeminarThis appointment runs from September 1 until December 31, 2024, and the part-time academic instructor reports directly to the Associate Director, Graduate Studies.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development of teaching and learning activities related to the course-specific topics.
• Teach course content
• Assessment and evaluation of student learning
• Use of Brightspace for course delivery
• Responding to student queries about coursework
• Attending initial instruction with Instructional Learning Online services re: Brightspace
• Participation in course discussions within the program
• Develop and administer examinations
• Submission of grades
• Follow up with students as necessary

Qualifications/Requirements of PositionCandidates must hold a PhD in Nursing, or related field, with relevant expertise and teaching experience.Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement
