Keen Equipment Repair Ltd. is a small family run business working out of the south end of Barrie. We are mobile equipment mechanics working on site and out of our shop. We service all brands of both light and heavy construction equipment. As we continue to grow we are looking to add a new role to the team.
We are in search of a construction equipment expert, someone with experience in the industry and can be the vital link between our valued customers, their equipment and our small team of technicians. The ideal candidate will develop into a leader and help us run our business. Please reach out to us if you have experience as a parts and service advisor in the industry or are an equipment mechanic looking to take on a different role. Ideally this role may also perform some light equipment maintenance in our shop or on the road.
The role:
Manage all customer interactions related to parts and service including all inquiries via phone, text and email
Listen to the customer and provide expert advice and recommendations and solutions while assisting them through all phases of the service process
Identify and order the correct parts, develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
Provide both verbal and written estimates to customers when required
Prepare and manage work orders and the schedule of work on your assigned laptop utilizing our program documenting details during all phases of the service
Prepare work orders and assign yourself and other technicians their work while effectively managing the work flow, schedule and customer requirements. Constant adjustments are often required on a daily basis
Assist technicians with completion of work orders when required and ensure all are properly documented and ready for invoicing
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of industry and parts - you have worked with brands like Kubota, Bobcat, CAT, John Deere or similar
Construction equipment mechanical experience preferred
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Computer savvy
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others - we succeed together
The ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with our customers and to become a trusted resource for them
Valid drivers licence and clean drivers abstract required
Interest in working with a small company that is family run and becoming an integral part of our business
Compensation is dependant upon experience, we value our employees and pay them well. We provide health and dental benefits, paid sick days, holiday bonus, hybrid work is a possibility in the future with most days at the shop and some from home. We will consider a sign on bonus for the right person.
