Position Summary:
Operates the packaging line in an orderly, efficient manner, minimizing downtime and waste. Fully trained Line Operator who is capable of operating all packaging lines, with minimal supervision and guidance. Provides training to new line operators as needed. Ensures the efficient operation of all packaging lines to minimize downtime and waste.
1. General Duties:
Operates packaging line(s) as scheduled, ensuring minimal downtime and waste
Provides training to new line operators as required
Records required documentation pertinent to packaging line operation on paper as well as entering into an iPad.
Verifies dates and codes of product
Loads labels and makes adjustments to the line according to packaging orders
Executes customer orders as directed ensuring the use of correct label, date code and any other customer requirements.
Directs associates on the line, advises when changeover is required, ensures customer product quality
Promotes a clean and safe working environment
Capable of identifying obvious malfunctions of the equipment being used
SAP/ ERP System understanding and knowledge and ability to train others
Input all relative information per SKU in iPad
Performs any other duties as assigned

3. Safety:
Adheres to the Safety Policies, including use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment
Reports unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor
Reports all incidents, injuries and near misses to the supervisor immediately
Cooperates in the Early and Safe Return to Work Program if an injury or medical illness requires accommodation.
4. Food Safety:
Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) as trained
5. Quality:
Adheres to all quality standards per customer specifications
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Hours of Work:
5 - 6 days/week, 10-12 hours/day
Average of 30 - 60 hours a week
Public holidays/Weekends as scheduled
