Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Lead to oversee and coordinate production activities within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the various quality control checks necessary for the production of a quality product, as well as meeting the standards called for in the labour standard sheet, production variances and ensure that production lines and operators they are directing, conform to cGMP's and standard operating procedures, while being an operator on the production line if required.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of Packaging Operator's to ensure efficient operation of the production line. Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with Health Canada & FDA regulations and CGMP standards. Troubleshoot issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other machinery. Conduct quality checks on packaging and assembly processes to maintain product integrity. Train new employees on equipment operation, safety protocols, and best practices in manufacturing. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety regulations. Operate forklifts as required for various tasks within the warehouse setting. Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and address any production challenges. Responsible for ensuring that all packaging records are complete and necessary samples submitted for work order are closed out. Responsible for setting up balances, graduates and other measuring devices before a job starts and then use as required. Responsible for performing and assisting in the duties of a Group Leader as required. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School or equivalent Experience with packaging processes within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment focused on productivity and safety. Availability to work 12hr shift work, including straight nights is required.
