Nugget and Friends Dog Walking and Pet Services is looking for the right person to step into a leadership role within our pack hiking program.
At our core, we are a group-focused dog walking and hiking company. The heart of this role is working hands-on with dogs in a group hiking environment. We are intentionally hiring for leadership, and the responsibilities of this role will evolve based on your strengths and interests.

Lead structured pack hikes, eventually managing groups of up to eight dogs independently
Support internal operations and day-to-day coordination as needed
Safely transport dogs to and from their homes, as well as to hike locations
Act as a positive, professional representative of Nugget and Friends, reflecting our values in all interactions with dogs, clients, and the public
Who this role is for
This position is best suited to someone who:
Has hands-on experience working with dogs in a group setting
Is confident handling multiple dogs in public outdoor environments, on and off leash
Is a safe, confident driver with a clean driving record
Understands canine body language, group dynamics, and risk management
Leads calmly and decisively without relying on force or ego
Is reliable, communicative, comfortable taking responsibility, and able to give and receive constructive feedback thoughtfully and respectfully
Enjoys being outdoors in all kinds of weather
Values positive experiences for both dogs and their owners, and communicates thoughtfully with clients and the public
Is mindful of other trail users and prioritizes safety, courtesy, and respect while managing group hikes in public spaces
Is interested in being part of a growing business and taking on meaningful responsibility over time
Professional experience in dog walking, pack hiking, training, shelter work, or similar environments is required.
