Outbound Sales Manager The Opportunity: We are one of the fastest growing TELUS dealership in Canada with a well-established territory, and some of the longest tenure in the industry. We are looking to add an Outbound Sales Manager to join our established team in a full-time, permanent position. In this role you will manage and lead a team of Growth Specialists who will be focused on acquiring new customers through strategic prospecting in a defined market [AB, SK, MB]. Previous outside business sales, management, and telecommunications experience is an asset; but the right attitude and drive is essential to be successful. Located within: Calgary, Edmonton, or surrounding communities. Summary: The duties of this job focus on forming relationships with your team of remote hunter sales reps, primarily managing, coaching, and setting their daily and weekly goals in alignment with strategic objectives. In this role, it is very important to connect with other people to set direction, drive behaviour and deliver results. Great attentiveness to your team and others is required. The ability to understand and listen to them will be imperative to the success as a remote team. Much of the work centers around working with and through your sales team, and alongside your TELUS liaison. The job involves persuading and collaborating with your sales reps to review and adapt best practices regularly. A high level of communication is required for successful buy-in and implementation of strategies, and you must hold your team accountable to daily and monthly targets. This role requires the adaptability to change priorities on the fly, and to communicate and implement them effectively. This position requires following the 4L and TELUS policies and guidelines, however allows for flexibility and autonomy in reaching the goals set out by the company, as long as they are produced with integrity. There will be variability from one day to the next, and a relatively quick pace is required to maintain continuity of effective operations. As the sales manager you will have freedom in building and changing your team. Job Characteristics:
  • Each day different from the next; especially in personal interactions. Fast-paced environment, multiple projects going simultaneously.
  • Socially-focussed role, management of a remote team. Great deal of attention devoted to building and maintaining relationships.
  • A mix of collaborative and autonomous decision making alongside the Director of Outbound Business.
  • Requires energetic communication, self-motivation, and drive for success. Very persuasive, \xe2\x80\x9cselling\xe2\x80\x9d communication required. Highly collaborative position: much time is spent working with others.
  • High degree of comfort in delegation is required: position involves delegation of both authority and details. The team will be made of highly motivated and self-managed reps that will not require constant oversight.
  • Leadership through building and maintaining strong relationships. Communicate clear standards and expectations; a deep understanding of others\' capabilities and trust in their commitment is necessary.
  • Leading the team to be successful in hitting sales targets within defined target markets. (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba)
  • Complete regular performance reviews, accountable for team success.
  • Documentation in coordination with HR, when necessary.
  • Hire, train, onboard/offboard sales reps as needed.
