Optometric Assistant or Optician

with

strong optical experience

to join our friendly and professional team.

Who you are:

This position is ideal for an experienced optical professional who is confident in both

patient care and optical dispensing

. You will play a key role in delivering outstanding service, supporting the optometrist, and ensuring a seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting patients with frame and lens selection Dispensing, fitting, adjustments, and repairs of eyewear Pre-testing and assisting with clinical procedures Educating patients on lens options, coatings, and eyewear care Managing appointments, recalls, and patient records Processing orders, insurance claims, and payments Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming practice environment

Essential Skills & Experience

Experience in optical dispensing and frame styling Strong knowledge of lenses, coatings, and optical products Excellent communication and customer service skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with Visual Eyes ERM and asset but willing to train

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
