Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
Assist with appointment scheduling and patient record management.
Conduct preliminary testing and collect patient history to support the optometrist.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as OD Office.
Educate patients on proper contact lens care and hygiene.
Handle retail sales transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless patient experience throughout the visit.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a medical office or optical setting is preferred.
Strong front desk and patient-care skills with a focus on customer service.
Familiarity with optometry-related medical terminology is an asset.
Experience with electronic medical records systems, particularly OD Office, is a plus.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact comfortably with patients of all ages, including children.
