Optometric Assistant
Job Description
We are looking for a friendly and professional optometric assistant to join our team! Our ideal candidate will be outgoing, caring and motivated to learn and grow with us. Certification is not required, however candidates must have previous experience in an optical or optometry clinic.
Pearle Vision Liberty Village is a locally owned franchise optical store and optometry clinic that provides the community with comprehensive eye care, stylish eyewear and premium vision correction solutions. Our store is located in the heart of Liberty Village, a vibrant and exciting neighbourhood that is minutes from downtown Toronto and the Exhibition grounds. We are easily accessible by TTC.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide our patients with an exceptional eye care experience! Ensure smooth clinic operations Assist with optometry clinic functions such as booking and confirming eye exam appointments and pre-testing patients prior to their eye exam Participate in contact lens fittings by providing patients with insertion and removal instruction and coaching Assist patients with frame and lens selection and conduct frame fittings and adjustments Work collaboratively with co-workers in a positive team atmosphere Take pride in the appearance of the clinic and initiative to ensure inventory and displays are clean, attractive and well organized.
Qualifications
Must have at least 1 year of optometry clinic experience and have excellent customer services skills Must have strong communication skills (both oral and written) Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task while retaining attention to detail in a quickly changing environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7 - 21 per week
