We are seeking a detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to support patient care by pre-screening patients, performing diagnostic testing, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records in a fast-paced ophthalmology practice.
Responsibilities
Pre-screen patients and perform diagnostic testing, including visual acuity, refraction, tonometry, visual fields, OCT, fundus photography, keratometry, axial length measurements, and corneal topography
Document patient information accurately using Accuro EMR
Provide patient education, answer questions, and ensure comfort throughout visits
Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and equipment
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications
Medical office experience is preferred but not required. Familiarity with EMR systems (Accuro an asset) and ophthalmology, optometry, or pediatric experience are advantages. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Schedule & Compensation:
Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Compensation based on experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
