We are looking for an Operations Training Specialist to join us in the exciting work we do in Energy and Infrastructure. You will work with the Senior Advisor and Energy and Infrastructure team. It\'ll be your responsibility to conduct training needs analysis, design/development of training solutions, evaluation of training efficiency, coordination of training programs. In this position, you also get to conduct unit specific knowledge evaluations and participate in skill validations, ensuring evaluation process is followed as intended. What Else You Get To Do:

  • Takes full ownership of CMDS (Competency Management & Development System) for Plant Operations to ensure Operators technical competence is meeting organizational standards
  • Ensure content and outcomes are targeted to the specific learning needs of unit specific job roles.
  • Acts as a focal point for scheduling/coordination of unit training (internal and external)
  • Provides training compliance/deficiency data reports to management; ensures accuracy of training records and system integrity.
  • Evaluates training effectiveness and manages feedback related to learning solutions
  • Delivers Process Overview and Process System training, when required
  • Manages the lifecycle of procedures; coordinates the development of procedures for the process units
  • Ensures necessary competencies for each procedure are identified and provides training material for acquiring necessary competencies for implementing procedures
  • Liaise with office admins to ensure training related records and other documents (invoices, etc.) are being maintained appropriately.
Who You Are:
  • Minimum of 5 years\' experience in a professional learning & development function.
  • Post-secondary education in adult learning & development is a plusn asset
  • Working experience with LMS, operation training development and delivery
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Conscientious self-starter who enjoys working in a team environment, needs a minimum of supervision, and is able to effectively prioritize workload under pressure
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Capability to facilitate groups and learning
  • Technical writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Experience in plant/field operational environment and HSSE training development and delivery
