Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for a full-time Operations Support Specialist for our Angry Otter Liquor locations in the Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley.

We currently operate 3 food and pharmacy stores, clothing and hardware, 26 Angry Otter liquor stores, 2 feed mills, 2 bulk petroleum facilities, a feed and hardware store in Pitt Meadows, Angry Otter Tap & Forno, Angry Otter Brewery in North Vancouver, the Highwayman Pub in Abbotsford, 37 gas station/convenience stores and growing. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

You will be a part of the Category Operations Team (Liquor) and will be Reporting to the Category Manager.

  • Maintaining store files, pricing programs, and assisting with store specials
  • Help develop and implement training guidelines and detailed walkthroughs for procedures and processes
  • Train and assist employees on procedures, processes and promotions
  • Help maintain, update and utilize Sharepoint
  • Ensure accuracy for file maintenance, changes, corrections, costing and margins for liquor division
  • Uploading inventory, tobacco and lottery documentation into Sharepoint
  • Updating liquor inventory, costing, margins, and new sku input into point of sale systems
  • Assisting with inputting and maintaining Min and Max levels for inventory stock levels
  • Support with inventory roll counts (input and helping stores stay on schedule)
  • Monthly specials (LTO) downloads, updates, changes and support to advise managers for long buys
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheet with vendor marketing and advertising
  • Visa Statement reconciliation
  • Running sales statistics reports to provide cost analysis/profit and loss data by category
  • Maintain an order and product tracking document for core sku\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Support the process for price checking local competitors
  • Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations Management and:
  • Experience as a Liquor Store Associate or retail experience is an asset
  • Experience with CRM and POS systems (Barnett and Profitek POS system an asset)
  • Must be very accurate, detail orientated and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, people, and customer service skills
  • Must have solid basic math skills
  • Intermediate computer skills (including typing and MS office products \xe2\x80\x93 Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Motivation and ability to work in a busy work environment is required
  • Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
  • Able to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
  • Must have reliable transportation to be able to commute between locations
  • Must be available 7 days a week to work including early mornings, afternoons and late evenings
  • This position can be based out of the Greater Vancouver or Fraser Valley. Travel for work at other locations will be required as business needs arise.
