THE POSITION

Keyera is currently seeking an Operations Specialist to join the Simonette Team near Valleyview, Alberta.

This role is expected to support multiple aspects of the facility, including but not limited to; Operational Excellence, project/MOC execution, procedure development, and training and competency management.

This is a 4 days on/ 3 days off shift (hourly) with camp accommodations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the initiation, development planning, and execution of Facility projects
• Support of the MOC workflow process by providing Operations representation and support when required
• Be a key stakeholder to help drive Operational Excellence progress at site
• Create site wide awareness of Operational Excellence best practices and requirements
• Support the development and management of facility operating procedures
• Actively participate and contribute in facility Risk Assessments and HAZOP\xe2\x80\x99s
• Provide input and support in the development, implementation, and sustainment of the Simonette Training and competency program
• Assist with OE self-assessments/audits
• Liaise with other facilities to share/develop best practices
• Demonstrate and promote Keyera\xe2\x80\x99s Cultural behaviors and values on a daily basis
• Holds themselves and others to a high standard of accountability at all times

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic, and teamwork oriented with the following qualifications:

• Fired Process Heater Certificate, 4th or 3rd Class Steam Certification
• Minimum eight (8) years experience in facility and/or pipeline operations
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and an incident and injury-free workplace
• Ability to work effectively across department boundaries and interact with all levels of the organization in a polite and professional manner
• Demonstrated self-starter with attention to detail
