We are currently searching for an Operation Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President, Ontario Collections, the incumbent will oversee Oversee 3 locations across Southwestern Ontario with regular, consistent, and ongoing site engagement across the designated locations.

Position Description

Ensure daily municipal and ICI collection goals are met utilizing a \xe2\x80\x9chands on\xe2\x80\x9d approach through the effective management of supervisory and support staff.

Continually review municipal and ICI collection operations to ensure optimal routing efficiency and allocation of resources.

Work closely with the Fleet Site Leaders to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly fleet maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks and goals are achieved to ensure the safe and efficient operation of fleet operations.

Grow profitability by executing the Company\xe2\x80\x99s business plans and strategies.

Prepare and present management and financial reporting in line with budgetary requirements monthly while ensuring daily operations align with set expectations.

Evaluate employee performance on an on-going basis and ensure that supervisory staff are providing front line staff with regular feedback and coaching.

Provide leadership and participate in various employee engagement meetings to maintain safe and positive working relationships among all employees to foster and promote a healthy work environment, productivity, and efficiency.

Ensure site compliance with all employment, safety, and environmental regulations.

Ensure employee training requirements are fulfilled to meet or exceed compliance.

What will you bring?

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5 years managing a collection operation in the waste and recycling industry or in an environment where daily completion of logistical tasks are mandatory (related field).

Excellent interpersonal, teambuilding and oral/written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.

Strong financial, mathematical, and analytical skills.

Advanced computer skills with proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite.

Strong understanding of provincial employment, transportation, and environmental legislation.

Must be a hands-on self starter with excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, shift priorities, and work within time constraints on an on-going basis.

Previous experience utilizing GPS, fuel, and fleet maintenance management systems is an asset.
