In this role you will responsible for managing and analyzing complex corporate actions processes within the capital markets sphere. Pay rate: $

Location: Toronto, ON (hybrid- 1-2 days a week working on site in the office)

Shifts: 9:00am - 5:00pm

Job type: Temporary | Full-time| 12-month contract 2024 with possibility of extension

Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth analysis of corporate actions, including mergers, acquisitions, dividends, and income claims to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Utilize your comprehensive understanding of Corporate Actions and systems, including Broadridge BPS, DTC and CDS, to assess identified audit points and enhance current processes.

Ensure risk inherent in corporate actions and other entitlements processing is understood, identified, and controlled through the maintenance of effective procedures & management controls including monitoring of control accounts to ensure outages have thorough explanations and steps to clear and regular review and challenge of existing procedures and control to ensure effectiveness

Stay up-to-date with evolving regulatory requirements within the capital markets domain and ensure that all corporate actions are executed in strict compliance with these regulations.

Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to interpret and implement regulatory changes affecting corporate actions.

Manage and maintain corporate actions data, leveraging your expertise in industry-standard systems such as Broadridge and DTC.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity, and develop robust data validation processes.

Engage with cross-functional teams, including trading, operations, and compliance, to ensure Corporate Actions processes are being processed timely and accurately.

Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal and external stakeholders, potentially utilizing internal systems/Eucs to streamline processes and resolve discrepancies.

Identify and assess potential risks associated with corporate actions, utilizing your expertise in risk management within capital markets and knowledge of relevant systems.

Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to avoid risk and prevent breaks.

Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation related to corporate actions, ensuring clear communication of event details, impacts, and resolutions to stakeholders.

Maintain an organized repository of corporate actions records and documentation.

Qualifications:

Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

College or University degree (Business or Financial preferred)

5-7 years experience as an Operations Analyst

Strong knowledge of related processing systems related to corporate actions/entitlements

Prior Broadridge knowledge

Prior DTS/CTS Depository experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to negotiate, influence and interact professionally with a diverse group of Front Office Users, QAs, Developers, and SMEs

Demonstrated knowledge of analytical problem solving and process engineering techniques (i.e. process mapping and analysis techniques)

Result oriented, deadline driven, self-motivated

Prior banking an asset
