Job Title: Operations Coordinator
Position Type: Exempt - Permanent Fulltime

The District of Sicamous is looking for an individual who is highly motivated and organized to oversee the management of District owned facilities, small to mid-sized general, park and recreation capital projects, as well as support the Operations Manager in the day-to-day operations of Public Works and the supervision and support of recreation staff. If you are this individual and possess the following qualifications and skills, please apply:
  • Graduate of a diploma program in building, engineering technology or project management.
  • Minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a local government environment.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Asset management knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including public speaking.
  • Familiarity with the legislative, legal, strategic and technical framework associated with the provision of departmental services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain respectful working relationships with internal and external contacts under circumstances that can be considerably complex and time sensitive.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads, to work independently with minimal guidelines and supervision, and to perform tasks under periodic work pressure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and to contribute to a team environment.
  • Ability to supervise, coach and guide others while enhancing individual and team effectiveness.
