Reporting to the Director, Projects, Director and Executive Director of Nursing. This includes leading the implementation and clinical operations for the Mental Wellness Unit project plans within appropriate individuals or working groups to ensure the coordination project activities are accomplished on time, while supporting the organization\'s objectives. This role ensures the success of corporate projects by coordinating the clinical workflow for assigned projects; working closely with the department/divisions to meet the project milestones; completing related planning, operational and clinical support activities.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Knowledge of established practices and procedures of professional nursing care;
  • Advocacy and assertiveness skills;
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing;
  • Ability to effectively manage interpersonal relationships;
  • Initiative, judgment and reliability;
  • Cross-cultural awareness;
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Broad knowledge of hospital operations and health disciplines, including a high level understanding of system interdependencies
  • Excellent time and organizational skills coupled with the ability to prioritize, problem solve, and make decisions both collaboratively and independently.
  • Good knowledge of research skills coupled with an ability to validate information and facts.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, pay attention to detail, exercise good judgement and maintain discretion/confidentiality.
  • Good knowledge of clinical Mental Health evidence based practices.
  • Ability to maintain records and prepare comprehensive reports and related correspondence

The successful applicant will have a Degree or Diploma in Nursing, current registration with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association. The Successful applicant will have 2 or more years of experience in Mental Health Nursing. Valid Class 5 Driver\'s License
