We are currently seeking an Operations Accounting Summer Student to join our Operations Accounting team. Reporting to the Supervisor, Accounts Payable, the successful candidate will have strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills along with a passion for learning. The work term will commence in May 2025 and last for a 4 month period.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily invoice processing, including verification of correct coding and sufficient approvals
  • Upload invoice information for approvals and recording
  • Process cheque requests and donation requests as well as manage cancelled and re-issued cheques
  • Process regular monthly payments
  • Assist the AP Coordinator with journal entries
  • Provide support for uploading paper invoices into the electronic invoice workflow tool
  • Other duties and special projects as required
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:
  • The position is ideally suited for students entering the second or third year of a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a preference for those specializing in Accounting and are returning to their studies the following term
  • Experience in accounting is considered an asset, but not required
  • Ability to perform tasks both independently and within a team environment
  • Intermediate MS Office/365 skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience in SAP or other financial systems is considered an asset, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow through and resolve issues with good communication skills
