The Operational Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable transit services. This role leads operational teams, manages performance, and ensures compliance with safety, service, and regulatory standards while supporting TransLink's commitment to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate daily operational activities to ensure uninterrupted transit services
Lead, coach, and support supervisors and frontline staff
Monitor operational performance, service reliability, and on-time delivery
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and collective agreements
Respond to operational incidents, service disruptions, and emergencies
Analyze data and reports to identify trends and improve operational efficiency
Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum1+ year of hands-on dispatch experience in transportation, transit, logistics, or a related operational environment
Strong understanding of dispatch systems, real-time operations, and service
demonstrated decision-making experience
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and team-management skills
Excellent communication and coordination abilities
Ability to make quick, effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Proficiency with dispatch software and Microsoft Office tools
Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,080.07-$60,000.00 per year
