Educators at Hoot Reading provide 1:1 lessons for their students using innovative tech and a Science of Reading curriculum to empower teachers to focus on what they do best--teaching! We primarily support students during school hours through school-district partnerships.



Teachers are

paid

to participate in our robust

professional development program

before teaching lessons to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students!

Your Availability and Schedule:

Hours:

We are currently looking for teachers who can support morning lessons from

9:30 AM - 11:30 AM CT, Monday to Thursday

. Some afternoon and evening opportunities may be available, but they are limited. This is a part-time role, and hours vary based on student enrolment and scheduling needs.

Commitment:

Teachers can expect to work

5-15 hours per week

, depending on program demand and alignment with your availability. Actual hours are not guaranteed.

Consistency:

Students meet with the same teacher

three times per week at the same time of day

. For this reason, we prioritize teachers who can offer consistent availability across multiple weekdays (Monday to Thursday).

What are we looking for?

Bachelor's degree in education (or equivalent) is required. 2+ years of K-6 teaching experience with a strong grasp of phonics, decoding and reading fundamentals. Tech-savvy with a reliable laptop, internet, and quiet workspace. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
