Job Description

Command Fishing and Pipe Recovery (CFPR) headquartered in Nisku Alberta is the largest well intervention open and cased hole (fishing)company in the Western Canadian Sedimentary basin . With 3 service locations across Western Canada and a sales office in Calgary we supply well intervention expertise and equipment to the Drilling and Service rig industry.

Based in Nisku Alberta, the Well Intervention ( Fishing) Tool Co-ordinater plays a key role in ensuring efficient and effective coordination / troubleshooting of the movement of key personnel and equipment to rig operations making sure that all resources are utilized effectively. You are the first call when a drilling rig is having difficulty and requires expert service and tools to solve their problem in the field.

You will serve as the communication hub for our customer field operations, responding to requests, trouble shooting issues and then identifying what is required in terms of dispatching specialized Command Staff ( Fishing Tool Supervisors) also known as Fishermen along with Command specialty equipment in order to solve the customer problem. Additionally, the fishing Tool Co -ordinater will track company assets, keep in touch with both the customer and Command staff during the job and provide information to staff and management.

This position requires both exceptional multitasking and logistic abilities as you will often need to make quick decisions based on changing priorities. You will work closely with various teams to ensure compliance with regulations and standards while also striving to meet operational goals.

NOTE: Presently, the shift for this Position is Monday to Friday with alternating 7 day period of on call 24/7 rotation, HOWEVER UNDER REVIEW.

Location is Nisku/South Edmonton. Bonifide job requirement is the ability to pass pre employment drug and alcohol testing . Valid operators license in good standing


Responsibilities

• Take calls from external oilfield clients ( Service and Drilling Rig management personnel )who are experiencing difficulties at rig site with their operation.
• Troubleshoot on the phone and then provide specialty equipment to be sent to customer rig site in combination with Command personnel in order to solve the issue.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and clients.
• Monitor and track the location and status of field resources.
• Respond to inquiries and requests from clients and staff promptly and professionally.
• Resolve operational issues and emergencies as they arise, making quick decisions when necessary.
• Input and update records in the database, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Receive specialty equipment back to location, submit required paperwork that assists in proper billing to the client for services provided.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years hands on /well rounded oilfield experience in either the drilling or service rig industry .
• A demonstrated commitment to both working safe and participating in the Command Health and Safety program
• The ability to troubleshoot oilfield issues, ask the right questions , i.e. size of hole, type of casing, depth of well etc.
• Bonifide job requirement is the ability to pass pre employment drug and alcohol testing
• Valid operators license in good standing
• Demonstrated strong mechanical skills / abilities and aptitude with the capability to learn how to assemble and dis assemble specialty oilfield equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and also informally supervise shop hands after hours.
• Demonstrated computer skills with the ability to navigate internal company systems and Microsoft programs.
• Strong logistical and planning skills with the ability to plan ahead next steps.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with clients and Command personnel.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Flexible availability required including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid forklift and overhead crane certifications are considered valuable assets.
• Bonifide job requirement is the ability to pass pre employment drug and alcohol testing
• Valid operators license in good standing
• The ability to complete numerous internal training courses upon hire.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
