Job SummaryWhat is the opportunity?As Co-ordinator you will support the Meetings & Events team with the implementation of internal and external RBC events, conferences, and meetings on behalf of our internal partners. You will provide a high level of event support ensuring quality service and professionalism at every interaction. You will learn in an agile environment where the team\xe2\x80\x99s goal is to design and deliver best in class events that enhance the RBC Brand.

  • Please note this is a contract role. This requires a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days/week in the office.
What will you do?
  • Assist with the execution of external RBC events, sponsorship events, meetings and internal conferences and meetings on behalf of internal partners. This includes, researching event venues, on-site for Webcast or Webex support, registration desk support, and additional logistical details
  • Produce event schedules for projects managed by the team
  • Build and manage online registration using the team\xe2\x80\x99s online tools
  • Assist in managing supplier relationships, RFP follow-up, invoice processing, & event reconciliations
  • Maintain the Meetings & Events Team RBCnet website and RBC Connect websites
  • Manage team metrics and present quarterly reports on progress and improvements
  • Liaise with the different lines of business to collect materials; ppt, video, images to create walk-in and/or walk out presentations.
What do you need to succeed?Must-have
  • 2-4 years experience in meeting/event planning with attendee sizes between 125-500
  • Degree/diploma or equivalent in event management or hospitality industry
  • Working experience with Request for Proposal procedures, rooming lists and BEO\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Proven expertise with event registration tools
  • Experience working in an environment with senior executives and managing their expectations
  • Extremely detail oriented while working in a fast-paced environment
