Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Office Administrator to join our team at a Marine Service/Repair shop. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by managing administrative tasks, parts search/procurement, stock management, and maintaining organizational systems. This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in office software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Duties



Oversee daily office operations and ensure a productive work environment. Operate company phone lines, making and receiving calls to customers and suppliers. As well as using company email for customer and supplier contact. Use our company software (Workshop software) to complete and manage bookings, job cards/invoicing, inspections, watercraft information, parts ordering and management (stock), customer billings and statements, supplier billings and statements. Able to use computers and common software (Google drive, Gmail etc.) Accept and manage customer payments Customer interactions. Checking in and out their watercraft. Parts acquisition, finding the appropriate parts from current or new suppliers, ordering and tracking status and location of parts. Handling shipping and receiving of parts and packages as well as stock of parts and items. Help manage owners' schedules and tasks. Keeping and maintaining a clean office and shop during down times. Very occasional cleaning of watercraft Keeping and maintaining clear communication with co-workers and bookkeeper Willing to work extra hours during our busy season (September-October) Be professional with customers and co-workers.

Qualifications



Proven experience in an administrative role or as an office clerk is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficiency in Google Products and other relevant software applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with vendor management practices is desirable.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
