Robert Half has a position available for an Office / Accounting Manager for a company with a fast-growing team. This dynamic team environment offers advantages such as a great work space/office and terrific benefits. The position is a permanent role in the Edmonton, Alberta, area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledgers, analyze and make any necessary adjustments prior to preparing month end statements for the owner(s).
• Manage company bank accounts and expenses, including credit card management.
• Prepare & maintain monthly GST returns
• Manage accounts payable/accounts receivable
• Prepare periodic cash flow statements to assist with decision making
• Prepare necessary documents to Accountants office for year-end preparation, post and balance any adjustments as directed.
• Assist with external audit.
• Manage FX transactions, bank transfers and bill payments with owner(s).

• Support the administration of bi-monthly payroll with ADP Workforce Now
• Support the preparation and maintenance of payroll and related government remittances/filings, accounts receivable, expenses, payroll taxes and Workers\' Compensation Board (WCB) transactions
• Support the preparation of T4s and Records of Employment

• 5+ years of bookkeeping and administrative experience in an office environment
• Strong understanding of Canadian payroll & employment law
• Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or Accounting
• Solid understanding of Sage 100 ERP & Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ADP Workforce Now is considered an asset
