Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Clinician who has experience in Long Term Care to join our clients health team. The Nurse Clinician will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality care for residents in our long-term care facility. This individual will provide clinical expertise, leadership, and support to the nursing staff, fostering an environment of compassionate care and adherence to best practices in geriatric nursing.
What you will be doing:
Strategically plan annual goals with Directors of Nursing.
Guide homes in alignment with mission, vision, and strategic goals.
Direct nursing teams on care standards and legislative compliance.
Shape nursing policies in line with regulatory standards.
Ensure homes comply with statutes and regulations.
Assist in budgeting and financial planning for nursing operations.
Develop innovative interdisciplinary programs.
Collaborate with colleagues to foster a supportive team environment.
Support recruitment, orientation, and performance assessments.
Advise on compliance, risk management, and resident care issues.
Contribute to marketing and maintain a positive public image.
Oversee nursing budgets and new funding initiatives.
Monitor and enhance Quality Improvement programs.
Review and improve nursing programs annually.
Research and propose evidence-based improvements.
Empower homes with new practices and research methods.
Identify and minimize potential liability issues.
What you must have:
An Ontario Registered Nurse with advance courses in gerontology and health care services administration
At least 1-3 years as a Director of Assistant Director of Care in a Long-Term Care Setting
Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing
Knowledge of nursing operational budgets
Proven management experience in LTC
Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to mentor and support nursing staff
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Must have a clear vulnerable sector screen, no older than 6 months, TB test results less than 6 months old, must be able to provide three supervisory references.

Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate others
Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety
Adaptable and proactive in a dynamic healthcare environment
Salary/Rate Range: $115,000 - $120,000
