Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food and beverage industry, with a focus on customer service, team management, and operational excellence. As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for creating an inviting atmosphere for guests while ensuring that all staff members are trained and equipped to deliver exceptional service.

Duties

Manage all aspects of bar operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness. Supervise and train bar staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service best practices. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures. Utilize POS systems, such as Micros POS, for efficient cash handling and transaction processing. Lead team meetings to foster communication and collaboration among staff members. Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new team members to build a strong bar team. Develop creative drink menus and special promotions to enhance customer experience. Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement in service quality. Provide exceptional hospitality by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in restaurant management or bar management roles within the food industry. Strong leadership skills with a track record of effective team management and supervision. Excellent customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable experiences for guests. Familiarity with food preparation, cooking methods, and food handling practices. Previous experience in cash handling and operating POS systems is essential. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is required. Experience in interviewing and training staff is highly desirable. Background in hospitality or hotel experience is a plus. Barista experience is considered an asset.
