Summary:

Title: Finance Systems Officer

Employment Type: 3 month Contract with possibility of extension

Hours: 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday

Location: Gatineau, Quebec - Hybrid Work Model (In person 2 days per week)

Salary: $33.56/hr

Target Start Date: October 23, 2023

About this Role:

The Finance Systems Officer is part of a team supporting the departmental Financial

and Material System at Public Services and Procurement Canada. The team is engaged

in a project related to the standardization of the system access, and in this context, the

candidate will be responsible for coordination of consultation sessions with the business clients and for analyzing and compiling the outcomes of these sessions.

Essential Tasks - In this job, you will:
  • Work as a member of a team to organize sessions with internal clients.
  • Compile and analyze clients security profiles to identify potential improvement to simplify the security roles and align with related positions.
  • Provide rapports to the team lead related to project advancement, and recommendations for next steps.
  • Keep a registry of tasks for the project team to complete based on client needs.
  • Summarize the findings and identify areas to focus on for future improvements.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally when working with the team and with clients
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines for projects
  • Results driven and adaptability to changing client needs
  • Demonstrating integrity and respect when responding to client requests

Education:
  • Minimum 2 years studies in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics
OR
  • Government of Canada Financial Management Certificate
Experience (Professional, Academic, Personal):
  • Experience (Professional, Academic, Personal) working with Financial systems
