Taylor & Francis is constantly looking for ways to reach a wider audience. Video content on social media being one of them. We create hundreds of pieces of content per year for multiple platforms. We are looking for a multi-tasking Multimedia Specialist with project management skills, basic video editing and an understanding of animated content to work in our Expert Communities team. We are looking for an expert storyteller that can manage internal stakeholders and external resources. Projects will range from animation, live interviews, remote interviews, motion graphics, basic colour grading, basic audio repair, YouTube optimisation, and Social Media content.

Key Role and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as an expert inside T&F, project managing and producing the delivery of multimedia output in line with core marketing strategy, channel trends and brand guidelines.
  • Collaborates effectively to ensure all multimedia output is in line with company positioning and brand.
  • Supports communication with internal stakeholders to build understanding and engagement of the multimedia function, reports back any challenges.
  • Manages a centralised view of all projects, including all improvement activities, and is accountable for budget tracking and risk mitigation.
  • Supports on the implementation of multimedia workflow for the department. Tracks actions to drive through continuous improvements.
  • Updates the roster of approved suppliers, ensuring central collation and accuracy.
  • Maintains and develops regular channel reporting and analysing performance.
  • Contributes to driving a culture of high-performance and evidence-based continuous improvement.
  • Effectively cascade business critical news and information and connect business goals to the individuals in your team
  • Pitch, implement, report on, and adapt creative projects suitable for marketing campaigns to meet an agreed set of KPIs and within agreed budgets.
  • Undertake channel analysis of Multimedia content performance and make suggestions for improvement
  • Support the Multimedia Manager in planning and implementing subject/channel or team level projects/campaigns
  • Accountable for managing own learning, taking responsibility to identify and develop skills.
Qualifications
  • Excellent process documentation skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of planning and analysing across content streams, utilising knowledge to inform output that drives engagement.
  • Ability to manage and set priorities and work to an agreed brief.
  • Experience in multimedia production and editing, ideally within a commercial setting.
  • Adept at Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effect for motion graphics.
  • Ability to manage and direct freelancers and of working within agreed budgets on projects.
  • Knowledge and ability with IT systems including core MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Power Point), and/or other bespoke IT systems.
