We are currently seeking a
MRO Buyer
to join our team working on-site Monday to Friday.
Position Summary

Reporting to the Procurement Manager for North America, the MRO Buyer plays a key support role in the procurement function, focused on facilitating and coordinating the acquisition of maintenance-related materials, spare parts, and services. This position ensures timely processing of purchase requisitions, vendor communications, and accurate record-keeping to support the operations and maintenance teams. The specialist ensures compliance with procurement policies, maintains strong supplier relationships, and assists in inventory and delivery tracking to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders for maintenance and spare parts.
Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to confirm specifications, delivery timelines, and pricing.
Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery, especially for critical parts.
Maintain procurement records, supplier documents, and contracts in compliance with company policies.
Assist in updating and managing item master data.
Prepare reports and dashboards related to procurement metrics, order status, and supplier performance.
Collaborate with spare parts and maintenance teams to monitor inventory levels of spare parts and reorder as needed.
Support the resolution of delivery discrepancies, damaged goods, and return processes.
Serve as the point of contact for routine vendor communications, including follow-ups on quotes, order status, and invoice issues.
Assist in evaluating vendor performance related to on-time delivery and service quality.
Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications (Education):
Degree in Supply chain Management, Business Administration, or other relevant education and/or work experience would be an asset
Previous Experience Required
2+ years of experience in a procurement, purchasing or administrative support role
Prior experience supporting maintenance or technical procurement is a strong advantage
Skills, Abilities & Equipment Operated:
Proficiency in procurement or ERP systems
Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document handling
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to ever-changing priorities
