We are currently seeking a

Millwork Estimator

to join our Brampton-based millwork division.

Job Purpose



As a Millwork Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for millwork projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, and material requirements. This role requires strong knowledge of millwork production, materials, and finishes, along with the ability to balance accuracy and efficiency under tight timelines.

Duties & Responsibilities



Review architectural and millwork drawings to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates. Calculate material quantities, considering waste, yield rates, and finishing requirements. Obtain material and subcontractor pricing by liaising with suppliers and vendors. Prepare take-offs, cost breakdowns, and project budgets. Assist in value engineering efforts, recommending cost-effective alternatives. Ensure all estimates comply with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards. Collaborate with project managers, production teams, and clients to align estimates with project goals. Stay current with industry trends, emerging materials, and new manufacturing techniques in millwork.

Working Conditions



Office-based role with a fast-paced environment and variable working hours. Occasional travel to project sites for measurements, assessments, or coordination with stakeholders. Requires multitasking and attention to deadlines across multiple projects.

Qualifications & Skills Required



Diploma or Degree in Architecture (Required)

Previous experience in millwork estimation (Required)

. Strong knowledge of millwork production processes, materials, finishes, and hardware. Proficiency in estimating software, AutoCAD, PlanSwift, or equivalent tools. Strong Microsoft Excel and Office Suite skills for cost breakdowns and reporting. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications. Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with clients, vendors, and team members. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
