DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities



Evaluate projects for bids and millwork quantity take-offs and obtain sub-trade vendor pricing, including collecting all relevant documents, analyzing specifications, and communicating with clients to fully understand the scope of work required Work within a variety of online tendering systems for the procurement of tender call drawings and bid packages Determine the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labour for millwork projects for existing and new project clients Prepare formal estimates to meet project goals, such as gauging required work hours to completion, sequencing tasks, obtaining materials at best negotiated prices and performing risk assessments to account for potential impacts on project plans Account for the use of resources, plus a reasonable profit margin to calculate a competitive quotation price Monitor client feedback and industry trends to determine the competitiveness of generated quotes Formulate contingency plans and effectively managing risks that might impact cost and time estimates Collaborate with and provide support to all estimators and project managers Consult with vendors (internal and external) regarding pricing Maintain our client database through folder / Innergy and follow up on outstanding quotations Work toward building strong client relationships Utilize sales and customer service skills to follow up on quotes and help close project deals Attend monthly meetings to review upcoming tender packages, potential contract awards, and discuss results Identify partnership opportunities, capitalizing on sales opportunities and follow up on sales leads Identify the most effective way to produce/fabricate the product Establish and maintain tendering process and set up cost monitoring reporting and procedures Prepare and maintain a directory of product suppliers Consult and communicate with Project Managers, Engineers, and others involved in the project

JOB QUALIFICATIONS



3-5 years of Estimating experience in architectural millwork or a related field. Experience with Innergyand online tendering systems (preferred). Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Understanding of value engineering (VE) principles. Post-secondary education in construction, architecture, or engineering (preferred).
The Millwork Estimator is an office position in CCW Inc. that works from 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Thursday and 8:00am-4:00 pm on Friday. At times, this position may be required to enter the shop to consult with Production. For these instances, the Estimator is required to wear safety glasses and should be aware of their surroundings at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
