The position at a glance

The Middle Office Loan Trading team supports the settlement process of primary, secondary, distressed loan trades and loan TRS (Total Return Swaps). This includes all funding and documentation matters and is responsible for Liaising and providing daily operational support to multiple stakeholders including but not limited to Clients, Loan Trading desk, Back Office, Legal Counsel and others. Total Return Swaps is a client facing activity.

In detail

Responsibilities:

Enhance Client Experience:

  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients while providing an enhanced experience that will have a direct impact in the business growth.
  • Guiding new clients through the setup of the SPV account in ClearPar.
  • Attend meetings with FO and clients.
Booking and execution of Loans: including but is not limited to the following:
  • Work closely with the trading desk, clients, legal counsel and operations teams to settle primary, secondary and distressed loan trades for USA and UK desks. Distressed trades will require liaising with external legal counsel and extra vigilance during the life cycle of the trade
  • Create trades and confirm that the details of trades created in ClearPar match trader\'s browser in Star
  • Answer pop-up questions associated with each trade in a timely manner and ensure the answers comply with the existing setup of the utilized SPVs
  • Prepare and review the LSTA/LMA standard documents including Trade Confirms, Assignment Agreements, Participation Agreements, Multilateral Agreements, and purchase sales agreements for distressed trades.
  • Coordinate among counterparts and administrative agents, the review and execution of all trade documents necessary for closing
  • Prepare and review pricing prior to settlement
  • Prepare closing package with pricing information and instructions for backoffice
  • Perform continuous follow up with counterparties and agents to close the trades in timely manner.
Servicing of held positions : including but not limited to
  • Request deal site access for all new settling buy credits on a daily basis and continue to follow up to ensure that access is received for all the authorised team members
  • Monitor on a daily basis all notices/amendments received from agents, Identify the actionable amendments and liaise with the concerned departments and clients to ensure accurate and timely submission of votes within the established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service with quick response times and accurate information (both internally and externally)
  • Monitor high volumes of loan closings, update data in systems and perform reconciliations between in house system vs Clearpar.
  • Monitor and apply corporate events for both unsettled and settled trades in a timely manner
  • Investigate and resolve closing and transactional breaks/issues in a timely manner
  • Monitor trader\xe2\x80\x99s and clients\xe2\x80\x99 position Communicate and escalate any trade issues to management and the trading desk
  • Read and interpret Credit Agreements and Amendments
Other key tasks
  • Participate in weekly team meetings with the supervisors in UK/US
  • Report status of unsettled trades and key risk indicators to management weekly
  • Take part in different projects under the supervision of Manager
  • Contribute directly to the Permanent Operational Control by identifying operational risks
  • Design spreadsheets, pivot tables and macros to automate the workflow.
Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the English is required.
Preferred qualifications:
